About Us

The Business was established in 1980 with Chris and Lorraine buying “The Gold and Coin Shop” in 2008. 


Chris’s passion for the values of antiques and iniquities along with his entrepreneurial mind and personable nature added a new dimension. Lorraine after working in the eye medical field for over 40 years in Port Macquarie, became a new face behind the counter bringing an extra flair to buying and selling the new and estate jewellery. All of Chris and Lorraine’s efforts have helped fashion and grow The Gold and Coin Shop to be the thriving business it is today.


Located in the beautiful coastal town of Port Macquarie on the Mid-North Coast of NSW, we have a regular clientele from the ever-growing immediate local and regional areas.
